Group of people on an ice rink

THE CLUB

A place to learn, practise and progress

Club Hiversport brings together people who want to discover, practise and develop ice dancing in Luxembourg. The section supports different levels of practice in an environment built around technique, rhythm and artistic expression.

A complete discipline

More than skating: a sport in its own right.

Ice dance brings together technique, precision, musicality, coordination and athletic ability. Skaters develop edge control, balance, posture, turns and footwork while learning to move with a partner and interpret the music together. From the first steps on the ice to advanced international-level dances, ice dance offers a complete sporting discipline with clear goals, progressive levels and continuous opportunities to improve.

Learn, progress, master

A structured approach to skating.

Ice dance is built on progression. Each movement is learned step by step, with exercises and dances that develop specific skating skills and gradually introduce greater complexity. Working with qualified coaches allows skaters to understand how and why they move, rather than simply repeating movements. Whether you are discovering ice dance for the first time or refining advanced technique, there is always something new to learn and a next level to reach.

A community on and around the ice

Sport is better when it is shared.

Ice dance brings people together. Partners learn to trust and communicate with one another, while training creates connections between skaters of different ages and experience levels. Beyond the ice, our community supports, encourages and celebrates each other's progress — during training sessions, competitions, shows and social moments. Whether you come to skate, compete, perform or simply discover something new, there is a place for you in the ice-dance community.
